Utility Operations Support Specialist (Administrative & Procurement Specialist)

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Utility Operations Support Specialist (Administrative & Procurement Specialist). This position will be primarily responsible for:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of procurement activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, software licensing, renewals, vendor quotes, invoice reconciliation, and budget tracking.
  • Administering and maintaining asset inventories, equipment records, software subscriptions, and electronic disposal processes to ensure accurate tracking and regulatory compliance.
  • Performing records management, data entry, document retention, and reporting functions while maintaining accurate electronic and physical records.
  • Coordinating vendor relationships by obtaining quotes, resolving billing issues, monitoring contract performance, and facilitating purchasing activities between departments, suppliers, and finance staff.
  • Supporting business operations through the administration and use of enterprise systems and various business applications.
  • Evaluating operational, procurement, financial, and asset data to prepare reports, identify trends, and provide recommendations that improve efficiency and support management decision-making.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in business or public administration or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of full-time office administrative or technical experience related to the work of the functional unit.

  • Specified positions may require the possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
Background Investigation:
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Additional background investigations may be conducted periodically after employment.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing:
  • Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
