Job description

Description:

TPSE Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Utility Staking Technician.

The ideal candidate will have experience in utility staking and layout, surveying, easements and right of way permitting coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field surveys and staking for power line construction Work with GPS and GIS/GNSS tools
  • Utilize GPS to collect and record field data
  • Apply GIS software tools to draft and design utility infrastructure layouts
  • Work with landowners and team members to support construction planning
  • Assist in permitting and easement activities
  • Maintain and care for field tools and equipment
  • Travel to job sites across the region using company-provided vehicle and equipment
  • Support a variety of tasks based on project needs

Requirements:


  • 2-4+ years of utility staking or electric utility field experience
  • Prior understanding of plats, right-of-way maps, and design/construction blueprints
  • Valid Texas driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as travel regularly
  • Comfortable walking on uneven terrain and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
