Job Description:

UtilityRelocationManager

The position of Utility RelocationManagerwill provide coordination of utility relocation activities on the project and provide technical and functional support to utility relocation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of drawings (MicroStation) and exhibits.

  • Coordination with the Utility Ownersand their designers.

  • Conduct meetings with the Utility Ownersand their designers.

  • Program agendas with the Utility Ownersand their designers.

  • Produce minutes with the Utility Ownersand their designers.

  • Handle communications with the Utility Ownersand their designers(letters, emails, distribution of drawings, etc.)

  • Review and comment the different utility design plans.

  • Assist and/or direct Utilitiesmeetings.

  • Perform quantity take-offs.

  • Prepare cost budgets.

  • Perform cost estimates.

  • Perform cost control.

  • Prepare labor schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.

  • Process change orders.

  • Provide technical expertise related to Utilities and ROW and Easements.

  • Recommend solutions to design changes throughout construction process.

  • Manage subcontractor scope of work respective to various contracts.

  • Help in the management ofThe Utility Design and Coordinator Company scope of work respective to various contractsand various utility conflicts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent.

  • Minimum offour(4) years of experience of progressive responsibility with relevant design activities onsimilar PPP and Design-Build projects.

  • It will be preferred if the applicants have prior experience performing utility design and adjustments with utility owners.

  • Excellentcommand of Microsoft Excel, Word, Schedule program, Microstation.

  • Scheduling experiencepreferred.

  • Experience in preparing quantity take-offs.

  • Experience in preparing cost budgets.

  • The applicants shall have prior experience within TxDOT highway project corridors.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Capacity to manage people.
