Job description

About the Company

Our client is a third-generation, family-owned natural-gas pipeline construction firm headquartered in the Southeast and trusted by major utility partners across the region.

Led by a seasoned executive team with more than seventeen years of continuous operation, the company combines deep field expertise with next-generation leadership—anchored in safety, integrity, and long-term community partnership.

As the organization expands its footprint throughout Georgia and neighboring states, it continues to deliver mission-critical infrastructure projects that keep energy flowing safely, efficiently, and reliably.

The Opportunity

Reporting to executive leadership, the Utility Manager will provide end-to-end oversight of municipal and utility-construction projects throughout Georgia.

This position blends field operations, regulatory coordination, and stakeholder relationship management—serving as the central link between crews, municipalities, and leadership to ensure every project is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Direct all aspects of natural-gas pipeline and utility-installation projects from mobilization through close-out.

Manage field teams, subcontractors, and inspectors while sustaining a culture of safety and accountability.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with municipal authorities, inspectors, and client partners.

Oversee project scheduling, cost controls, materials management, and compliance documentation.

Interpret engineering plans, permits, and specifications; ensure adherence to all regulatory standards.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to foremen and site supervisors.

Collaborate with senior leadership on bid strategy, resource planning, and operational improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Licensed Utility Manager (Georgia license or reciprocity required).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in utility-construction or pipeline-operations management.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with municipalities.

Highly organized; able to balance field performance with documentation and reporting.

Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and independent initiative.

Comfortable in a hybrid rhythm — field / home / city — with travel across Georgia as required.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 (Commensurate with experience)

Health Insurance Coverage

2–4 Weeks Paid Vacation (based on tenure and performance)

Flexible, Self-Directed Scheduling

401(k): Not offered currently

Why Join This Company

This opportunity offers the stability of a heritage-built construction firm with the forward momentum of a company entering its next phase of growth.

Our client fosters a culture of trust, autonomy, and craftsmanship—ideal for leaders who take pride in building both teams and communities.
