Job Responsibilities:
  • This Project Manager position will work closely with the OPO to build a team comprised of members from Grid Operations, local Operations (Transmission, Substation, and Distribution), Labor Relations, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Security, Information Security (Cyber), Procurement, Business Resiliency and others as required.
  • This team may be comprised of members that are also assigned to other LA28 efforts; develop a detailed operations plan and first-level and second-level emergency response plan for each Games venue and associated infrastructure; develop a detailed operations plan and first-level and second-level emergency response plans for each supporting facility (e.g., LA Metro, others) and associated infrastructure; establish and run an on-site operations center to monitor all systems required to support the LA28 Games and supporting infrastructure; develop and train a proposed rotating Incident Management Team (IMT) structure to support live Games operations; facilitate communication between the identified workstreams as needed.
  • Preventing power surges; ensuring that the right amount of energy is distributed; operating power-generating equipment; measuring power flow with gauges, meters, and charts; and maintaining generators, turbines, and other equipment.
  • Education/Experience: Associate Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; possesses seven to ten years of experience.
Skills:
  • Required: Skilled in Excel, Microsoft Projects, and SAP; some knowledge of P6.
  • Preferred: Seven or more years of project management experience
  • Preferred: Five or more years of Portfolio management experience
  • Preferred: Utility experience\nPreferred: Project Management Professional certification
  • Preferred: Experience with Copperleaf
