Job description

Job Title: Utility Operator
Location: Battle Mountain, NV 89820
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00/hr (W2)
 
Job Summary:
The Utility Operator is responsible for operating grinding mills within optimal safety, quality, and API specification standards. This role includes feeding crude ore, monitoring plant equipment, sampling finished product, transferring material to holding tanks, and performing basic operator-level maintenance and inspections.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor grinding mills and related equipment
  • Feed crude ore and maintain proper material levels in feed bins
  • Perform periodic product sampling and coordinate with Lab Technician
  • Transfer finished product to designated holding tanks
  • Maintain mill and compressor oil levels
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine operator maintenance
  • Monitor process parameters to ensure quality and cost-effective production
  • Follow all safety, environmental, ISO, and API compliance standards
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-misses
  • Participate in required safety and HSE training programs
