Job Overview

Our Customer Service Representative provides customer service, product inquiry responses, and sales order entry to assigned domestic and international OEM and Utility customers; performs all freight logistics and contract administration.

A Day In The Life

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes customer purchase orders using company SAP system.
  • Using office technology such as, but not limited to; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, telephone, etc.
  • Responsible for freight logistic services. These responsibilities include obtaining freight rates for specific situations, direct interaction with Shipping Clerk on prepared outgoing shipments, contacting carriers, processing shipments, tracking shipments & maintaining any needed compliance documentation following shipment.
  • Distributes sales order acknowledgements to OEM and Utility customers.
  • Answers basic customer inquiries via email and / or phone that will include but are not limited to items such as issuing RMA numbers in SAP, providing technical drawings and basic quotations for specified PCORE catalog numbers.
  • Organizes and files customer sales orders acknowledgements, invoices, bushing repair files and specific customer/company correspondence.
  • Completes new customer request forms which include retrieval of credit applications, company references, financial reports, etc.
  • Reviews A/R report and works with A/R Dept. to collect payment from customers when needed. Issues credits and debits in SAP as needed.
  • Completes reports for Marketing dept. as needed which are assigned by SR. Product Manager.
  • Maintains internal customer account profiles.
  • Provides back-up support for Customer Service Representatives.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed on a sporadic basis.
  • All other assigned tasks

Physical Requirements

Ability to travel as required for business purposes or local training events; ability to move throughout company facilities, including navigating stairs and ramps; ability to effectively communicate; and ability to routinely work on a personal computer and other standard office equipment.

  • Associate degree or equivalent required
  • BA/BS in Business, Communications, or Marketing prefer
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable
  • Experience with PowerPoint is a plus
  • Experience with Power BI is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
