Job description

At Moss Utilities, we specialize in underground utility installations across the DFW Metroplex. Our project experience includes commercial, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure.

Founded in 2016, Moss Utilities carries forward a family legacy in Dallas-Fort Worth utility construction dating back to the early 1900s. As an Employee-Owned company (ESOP), evert team member has a stake in our shared success and the future we're building together.

Laborer

Position Overview

The Laborer supports construction crews by performing manual labor and assisting with the installation of underground utilities.

  Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively as part of a crew to support daily project objectives.
  • Assist with all manual labor tasks as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor.
  • Operate construction equipment in a safe and competent manner.
  • Perform physically demanding construction duties as needed.
  • Support crew members with installing underground pipes and conduits, performing shovel and trench work, and operating power tools.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to follow instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Safe performance requires quick and precise hand-eye coordination.
  • Work is performed outdoors and may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Duties include prolonged and repeated physical activities such as lifting (including overhead, up to 50 lbs.), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling.
