Job description

Description
The College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) seeks a part-time (50% effort) faculty member. The School of Nursing offers the BSN and DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model and Boyer's Model of scholarship.
This position will be a 12-month, part-time, nontenure-track position. The person must be doctorally prepared in Nursing or a related field.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach, advise, and chair doctoral projects in the graduate program, focusing on the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program, but may be asked to support other DNP programs.
  • Engage in scholarly activities.
  • Participate in service to the College of Nursing, the University and/or profession.
  • Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate in the process of curriculum development and revision as needed.

Qualifications
  • Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related field required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a practicing AGACNP.
  • Experience teaching in an academic environment or serving as a preceptor for nursing students/medical residents is strongly preferred.
