HIRING IMMEDIATELY: PICKER/PACKER IN ROMEOVILLE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Picker/Packer to join our team in Romeoville, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for the accurate order picking and order processing of products including making sure that the order information weight and shipment information is accurate before processing through UPS/FEDEX, USPS and other systems. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $15.68/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm, plus overtime and weekends
  • Located in Romeoville, Illinois
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process orders for shipment according to instructions on bill of lading or pick sheet and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped in an accurate method.
  • When needed, operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently using safety equipment as required. Charge batteries as needed.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and re-packing as needed.
  • Participate in physical inventories.
  • May be required to check or count freight for accuracy and/or damages.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Cleaning the dock floor if necessary.
  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety. Follow all safety and security regulations and company guidelines.
  • Complete all safety training within the specified timeframe, applying all appropriate actions.
  • Utilize all tools and equipment as trained to do so, stopping when unsafe, utilizing Hub Group employee's Stop Work Authority.
  • Honors commitments and the values of Hub Group (Service, Integrity and Innovation).
  • Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience preferred.
  • Experience using RF Scanner and WMS systems.
  • Previous experience using powered material operating equipment is helpful.
  • Must have experience in UPS, FEDEX and USPS shipping software (or be willing to learn) as well as data entry.
  • Detailed oriented with ability to multitask.
  • Ability to listen and follow instructions/work procedures both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication
