The Greer Group is hiring a Corporate Paralegal for our law firm client in Winston-Salem, NC. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8: 30AM-5: 00PM
Salary: $80, 000-$85, 000 per year, depending on experienceJob Responsibilities:
  • Draft, format, edit, and proofread legal documents.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files and corporate records, including minute books, while ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
  • Establish and maintain calendars and deadline reminder systems as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with internal team members, clients, outside counsel, and government agencies via email and telephone, maintaining confidentiality when appropriate.
  • Draft and file paperwork to form new corporations, LLCs, and partnerships.
  • Prepare and file required regulatory documents to maintain client compliance with state and federal agencies.
  • Oversee the complete life cycle of contracts, from initial draft through final signature.
  • Conduct due diligence research on organizations, including reviewing annual reports and existing contracts.
  • Provide transactional support to the Commercial Real Estate practice by drafting and organizing documents and preparing closing binders.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls for attorneys as needed.
  • Route incoming mail and deliveries and prepare outgoing mail via USPS, FedEx, and UPS.
  • Travel to local courthouses, FedEx, USPS, and other businesses as needed for document pickups and deliveries.
  • Perform other reasonable and customary legal support tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of paralegal experience required; preference will be given to candidates with corporate and transactional paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; an Associate degree combined with commensurate experience will be considered.
  • North Carolina Notary Public preferred, or willingness to obtain.
  • North Carolina Certified Paralegal (NCCP) certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Above-average technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, as well as Adobe PDF.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple projects simultaneously, and take ownership of projects through completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person, by email, and by telephone.
  • Ability to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of attorneys and staff and work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must successfully pass a North Carolina background check and drug screening.
