Job Summary:
The role as receptionist to our Huntsville facility is the first interaction visitors and customers have with Mercury. Additionally, this role oversees the administrative security processes at the Huntsville facility, primarily as the receptionist maintaining access control and visitor management and is the first interaction visitors and customers have with Mercury. Performs basic clerical duties in support of security procedures and requirements. Processes security documents and visit requests. Sets up and maintains files. Maintains security precautions. Finally, this role will assist with basic administrative and clerical duties as assigned. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, culture and values which is required in this important role.
Job Responsibility:
* Possess dynamic thinking, team player attitude that takes pride in your work
* Welcomes and check's in on-site visitors, determines nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate personnel in order to ensure good customer service
* Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate personnel, department or voicemail to ensure all calls are addressed
* Maintains facility visitor management systems and access control procedures to ensure good customer service and security.
* Administers and coordinates security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
* Supports and administers organizational security plans and operations.
* Maintains badges, records, manuals and other documentation.
* Coordinates and administers security verification for all visitors in accordance with government requirements and company security policies and procedures.
* Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate personnel, department or voicemail to ensure all calls are addressed.
* Aids with locating people and conference rooms as requested and contacts hosts upon visitor arrival.
* Answers telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate personnel, department or voicemail to ensure all calls are addressed; provides callers with basic information as necessary.
* Monitors incoming/outgoing USPS mail bin and package drop areas; refers suspicious packages to security.
* Assists with medical incidents as needed.
* Provides general support as required by senior executives
Required Skills:
* Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
* Demonstrates the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels of seniority, both formally and informally
* High School diploma or some college
* Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Experience in customer service

* Acts quickly in response to customer problems, takes ownership and sees them through to satisfactory conclusion
* Able to interact professionally and courteously with customers in a face-to-face situation.
