Job description

Lead Commercial / Industrial Electrician

Location: Covington / East Atlanta, GA
Compensation: $38–$42 per hour (DOE)
Full-Time | Company Truck Provided

I’m partnering with a well-established and growing commercial/industrial electrical contractor in the greater Atlanta area that is adding a strong, well-rounded electrician to their team.

This is not a residential role. The company works strictly in commercial and light industrial environments, including data centers, federal facilities, USPS buildings, industrial plants, remodels, and tenant build-outs.

They are looking for someone who can operate independently, run projects when needed, and still work hands-on in the field.

What They Need

This position requires a true field leader — someone who can:

  • Run commercial or industrial projects

  • Lead a helper when required

  • Handle remodels and service work independently

  • Troubleshoot without always relying on detailed engineered drawings

  • Think on their feet and solve problems correctly the first time

  • Represent the company professionally with customers

You will be assigned a fully equipped service truck and trusted to manage your work.

Types of Projects
  • Commercial remodels & tenant build-outs

  • Industrial line relocations and equipment moves

  • Data center projects

  • Federal and USPS facilities

  • Service troubleshooting and repairs

  • Projects ranging from small service calls to multi-million-dollar jobs

What’s Offered
  • $38–$42/hour for the right candidate

  • Fully equipped service truck (bins, ladders, PPE, power tools)

  • Company credit card

  • Strong backlog of work

  • Long-term stability with a growing company

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience

  • Strong troubleshooting ability

  • Experience running jobs and directing helpers

  • Stable work history

  • Clean driving record

  • Ability to pass background checks (federal work required)

  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills

Travel
  • Primarily local work within the East / Greater Atlanta region

  • Occasional overnight travel depending on workload

  • The company makes every effort to keep crews working close to home

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned electrician who still enjoys working with the tools but has the leadership capability to run projects and take ownership in the field.
