We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commercial Recycling Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in achieving these goals.
As a Commercial Recycling Coordinator, your core functions are:
- Conducting waste assessments to identify opportunities for recycling and waste reduction.
- Making service-level recommendations to optimize waste management practices.
- Approaching businesses to promote and facilitate recycling programs and sustainable waste management.
- Preparing and delivering presentations to educate and engage businesses and the community on the benefits of recycling and reducing waste.

All Commercial Recycling Coordinators are accredited by the United States Green Building Council, or USGBC. Once hired, the City will cover the cost for a coordinator to sit for the LEED Green Associate exam, administered by the USGBC.
Additional Information
The Commercial Waste & Recycling Division is committed to supporting professional development and will cover the cost of obtaining the required LEED certification during the employee's first year. This position also offers flexible scheduling options, including a four-day workweek with one half-day or a traditional five-day schedule, providing greater work-life balance and flexibility.
