POSITION PURPOSE:

The Clinical Systems Analyst (CCA) supports, optimizes, and maintains clinical applications such as Athena Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Curve Electronic Dental Record (EDR). This position will also leverage data-driven insights to improve patient outcomes, optimize operational performance, and support evidence-based decision-making. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex healthcare data from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The CCA bridges clinical operations, IT, and data/reporting to improve workflows, ensure data integrity, and support quality care delivery for underserved populations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Analyze incomplete, sensitive, or ambiguous clinical information and transform it into accurate, compliant reports.

Identify reporting discrepancies, data quality issues, and trends, and escalate using established escalation process.

Provide day-to-day support to employees for EHR and clinical systems or resolve issues using established clinical and regulatory standards.

Create and deliver reports for clinical leadership, compliance departments, and regulatory agencies within the established timeline.

Troubleshoot user issues, errors, and workflow challenges.

Plan, design and implement clinical applications.

Provide training to care teams on encounters, standing orders, documentation, and EMR/EDR processes.

Review clinical staff workflow and develop solutions for workflow deficiencies and gaps.

Coordinate implementation of new modules; lead and coordinate upgrades and changes to modules incorporating testing, training, and communication.

Collect, clean, and manage large sets of healthcare data from EHRs, claims, patient surveys, and operational systems.

Continue to develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks.

Configure and maintain system settings, templates, and user roles.

Analyze trends in patient care delivery, patient engagement, appointment utilization, and other quality measures.

Collaborate with administration to identify data needs and translate business questions into analytical solutions.

Ensure data accuracy, security, and HIPAA compliance in all analytics processes.

Support reporting requirements for quality programs, such as PCPCH, CCO/UDS, and APCM initiatives.

Set an example of accountability by following all Aviva Health policies and procedures.

Travelling as needed to provide support to various clinic sites using a company or personal vehicle.

Other relevant duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Two or more years' experience in a healthcare data analysis role required.

Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ICD, CPT) required.

Experience with creating and delivering reports within required timeline.

Ability to meet tight deadlines; strong time management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to provide a high level of service in a courteous and efficient manner.

Current Oregon drivers license and clean driving record.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to perform the following physical requirements:

Remain in a stationary position and operate computer frequently during the day.

Move or traverse occasionally during the day throughout the office.

Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and accurately so others will understand; ability to interact with patients and staff clearly.

Work indoors in heat-controlled environment 100% of the day.

Periodic travel to other clinics utilizing a company or personal vehicle.

OSHA Exposure Category - Category #2: The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
