LOCATION: Lehi, UT
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a QA Engineer at Opiniion, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our property management software solutions. Our ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in QA testing across both manual and automation, a strong background in the tech industry, and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and pick up new tools and systems quickly to start contributing with minimal ramp-up.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Test Planning and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and user stories.
  • Execute manual and automated tests across web and API to identify defects and ensure software functionality.

Regression Testing:
  • Conduct regular regression testing- Manual and automated- to validate that existing functionalities remain intact after new features or enhancements are implemented.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues early.

Defect Reporting and Tracking:
  • Document and report software defects clearly and accurately in Clickup, providing detailed information to development teams for resolution.
  • Track and manage the lifecycle of reported defects to closure.

Automated Testing:
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts in Mabl, including AI-assisted capabilities such as GenAI assertions and agentic test creation.
  • Contribute to our in-house Qa-Automation AI agent and Identify opportunities to enhance and expand automated testing coverage.

Test Environments and Database Testing:
  • Deploy branches and changes to our test environments to keep them healthy and production-like (we use AWS).
  • Perform database testing against MongoDB to validate data integrity and back-end behavior.

Collaboration with Development Teams:
  • Work closely with developers to understand software architecture and facilitate effective communication between QA and development teams.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including one-week sprint planning and daily stand-ups, and communicate clearly in Slack

User Experience Testing:
  • Evaluate the user experience of Opiniion's property management software to ensure it meets high-quality standards.
  • Provide feedback on usability and interface issues.

Performance and Load Testing:
  • Collaborate with the QA team to conduct performance and load testing to assess the software's scalability and stability.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations for improvements.

Initiative and Leadership Example:
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement within the QA testing workflow.
  • Use AI tools in your daily workflow, and grow your automation and AI-assisted testing skills on a team that invests in it.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-4 years of experience in QA testing, with proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Solid experience testing across web and API.
  • Familiarity with property management software and related technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to pick up new tools and system quickly
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative and lead by example.

Nice to Have (Not Required):
  • Experience with Mabl, or transferable automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
  • Comfort deploying branches to cloud-hosted test environments (we use AWS).
  • Database testing experience, especially with MongoDB.
  • Experience using AI tools (like Claude) in a QA workflow.
  • Familiarity with Agile, ClickUp, and Slack.
  • Familiarity with property management software and related technologies is advantageous.
