Job description

Human Movement Recognition Study

Ready to help shape the future of technology? This short but impactful 1-hour study aims to improve human movement recognition via artificial intelligence technology.

Project Overview

For this study, we are looking for participants of all demographics! Adults and minors will be video recorded while performing basic movements, walk up/down stairs inside and outside and act out activities such as walking around a residential home.

  • 13-17-year-olds need a legal guardian to register, provide consent, and need to be accompanied for the session.
  • Research is being conducted in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA, and San Jose, CA.
  • This is a one-time task

Compensation:

Participants will be compensated for completed sessions. An additional half hour is required to check in for appointments and is not included in session times.

Our current sessions are compensated at the following rates:

Seattle, WA 1-hour sessions:

  • Adults: $100
  • Seniors: $125
  • Minors: $140

Los Angeles, CA and San Jose, CA 1-hour sessions:

  • Adults: $125
  • Seniors: $150
  • Minors: $200

Payments will be made via Hyperwallet, where you can choose PayPal, bank transfer, or Venmo as the payment method.

Qualification Path

Basic Requirements

  • Reside in the United States.
  • 13+ years of age.
  • Basic English Proficiency.
  • Be able to commute to the project location.
  • Perform simple user action tasks as instructed by our moderator team, such as walking in and out of a doorway onsite.
  • Participants will be video-recorded while performing the task.
  • Participants might be required to wear accessories, such as, glasses, jewelry, or hats.

Please note: Individuals who use mobility aids or supports are welcome to participate. However, participants must be able to walk, navigate stairs, and generally move around independently. Additionally, participants need to be comfortable being present in a low-light or dark room environment.
