At Ascentek, technology plays a critical role in enabling our teams to serve customers, operate efficiently, and drive innovation. The End User Technology Engineer serves as the frontline ambassador for IT, providing timely and effective support to employees across office, manufacturing, warehouse, and remote environments. This position combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with customer service excellence, supporting a broad range of technologies including Microsoft 365, endpoint devices, mobile solutions, warehouse technology, printing systems, and collaboration platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with IT, security, and business teams to resolve issues, implement solutions, support strategic initiatives, and ensure a secure and productive technology experience for all Ascentek teammates. For those passionate about technology, this role offers the chance to work with an exciting mix of enterprise, manufacturing, and operational technologies in a dynamic business environment. From Microsoft cloud platforms and endpoint management to warehouse automation and collaboration systems, the position provides broad exposure that is difficult to find in larger organizations with narrowly defined responsibilities. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in strategic projects, technology deployments, and process improvements while developing a well-rounded technical skill set.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, network, and application issues
  • Respond to incidents and service requests through the ITSM platform while meeting service level expectations
  • Support Windows devices, Mac, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers, and business applications
  • Source, provision, deploy, configure, administer, maintain, and manage the full lifecycle of desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and shared workstations
  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune-enrolled devices, software deployments, and endpoint compliance initiatives
  • Support warehouse and manufacturing technologies including Zebra printers, RF scanners, mobile computers, shipping systems, and industrial workstations
  • Assist with Active Directory, Entra ID, file share permissions, network troubleshooting, conference room technology, and Teams Rooms systems
  • Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, technical documentation, and asset records
  • Participate in project implementations, technology rollouts, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Provide end-user training and guidance on technology best practices and security awareness
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices, security measures, and technology utilization
  • Continuously monitor end-user technology systems, proactively identify trends, and look to make improvements, optimize performance and efficiency
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and suggest improvements or innovations to enhance end-user experiences
  • Participates in the on-call, after hours rotation and other on-call activities as needed
  • Other duties as required

Experience and/or Training:
  • 2+ years of support experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience in the support or configuration of endpoint devices including Windows/Apple iPhones/iPads, and Mac
  • Experience supporting mobile device management (MDM) solutions, mobile device provisioning, and carrier relationships for iOS and Android devices
  • Experience supporting and maintaining SaaS environments
  • Fundamental understanding of computer administration and networking concepts
  • Ability to research, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas in a user-friendly way
  • Highly self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or similar degree or equivalent experience
  • Senior Executive support experience
  • Direct experience supporting manufacturing operations or working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment supporting multiple clients and diverse technology ecosystems
  • Experience with ordering and budgeting of equipment
  • Experience managing mobile devices with various carriers
  • Comptia A+, Networking, Microsoft, ITIL certifications is a plus
  • Demonstrated scripting/automation experience
  • Intune packaging and/or administration experience in a mid-size to large organization
  • ServiceNow/ITIL processes experience

Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:
  • Sit, stand and walk for extended periods in office, warehouse and distribution environments
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, reach overhead and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Push and pull equipment, install and move computer hardware and cabling and frequently use computers and standard office equipment
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues using critical thinking and sound judgment
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, solve problems, communicate effectively, maintain accurate documentation and adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Work primarily in an office environment with occasional work in warehouse and distribution facilities where varying temperatures, moderate noise and operational activity may be present
  • Occasional travel between company locations and after-hours or on-call support may be required

The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $83,000 - $95,000 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:

  2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
