Location: Watsonville, CA (5 Days Onsite)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer / Tableau Cloud Administrator to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise analytics solutions, from business requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, deployment, administration, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Tableau development, Tableau Cloud administration, data visualization best practices, SQL, data preparation, and business intelligence solutions.
This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data providers, business analysts, QA teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics solutions that drive business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau Desktop.
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive and impactful data visualization solutions following UI/UX and data visualization best practices.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, calculated fields, parameters, filters, and custom calculations within Tableau.
  • Build, publish, and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau Cloud.
  • Develop and manage Tableau data sources, extracts, and metadata to support enterprise reporting needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau Prep workflows for data cleansing, transformation, automation, and reusable data preparation processes.
  • Administer Tableau Cloud environment, including user provisioning, permissions, content management, security, governance, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain Tableau Cloud logging, monitoring, and platform governance standards.
  • Monitor system utilization, capacity, extract refresh schedules, and overall platform performance.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and validate reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to test, validate, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot reporting, dashboard, data quality, and platform-related issues.
  • Document dashboard functionality, data flows, business logic, technical designs, and operational procedures.
  • Provide ongoing production support, enhancements, and continuous improvements to Tableau solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Reporting, or Data Visualization.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience.
  • 1-2+ years of Tableau Cloud Administration experience.
  • Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud, and Tableau Prep.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and data transformations.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL processes, and BI architecture.
  • Experience implementing dashboard security, governance, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
