Job description

Job#: 3046921
Job Description:
Senior Business Analyst (Cybersecurity)
Location: Remote (Must be willing to work CST or EST hours)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract-to-Hire
Start Date: ASAP
Department: Cybersecurity
Openings: 1
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join our Cybersecurity organization and support the successful deployment of enterprise security solutions across the business. This is a highly visible role that combines business analysis, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and user adoption responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will excel at understanding organizational structures, gathering and translating business requirements, facilitating communication between business and technical teams, and driving successful solution rollouts. While the role supports cybersecurity initiatives, it is not a deeply technical BA position. Instead, we are seeking a skilled analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and delivery teams while leading critical workstreams from requirements through implementation, testing, and deployment.
Initial efforts will focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and physical access initiatives, including the rollout of a new enterprise badging solution and other cybersecurity-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Partner with business leaders across multiple departments to understand organizational structures, business processes, user populations, and access requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Create high-quality BA deliverables including:
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
    • Functional Requirements
    • Process Flows and Diagrams
    • User Stories
    • Requirements Traceability Matrices
    • Test Plans and Use Cases
  • Translate business requirements into actionable documentation for development and technical teams.
  • Analyze user populations and business data to develop personas, role groupings, and deployment strategies.
Deployment & Rollout Coordination
  • Support multiple cybersecurity technology rollouts and deployment waves across the organization.
  • Partner with Project Managers to coordinate schedules, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and readiness activities.
  • Define deployment groups and rollout sequencing strategies.
  • Monitor deployment progress and provide ongoing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and escalate risks, roadblocks, and issues that could impact delivery timelines or adoption success.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, end users, cybersecurity teams, and technology stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, interviews, and planning meetings.
  • Communicate upcoming changes, deployment activities, and user impacts using established communication channels and templates.
  • Present project updates and recommendations to business and leadership audiences.
User Adoption, Testing & Training
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and pilot activities.
  • Coordinate testing efforts and defect resolution between users and technical teams.
  • Establish and manage Teams channels, pilot user groups, and support forums.
  • Facilitate go/no-go readiness assessments prior to deployment.
  • Schedule and conduct user information sessions and training workshops.
  • Develop user guides, runbooks, process documentation, and adoption materials.
Post-Deployment Support
  • Coordinate hypercare activities following deployments.
  • Track, prioritize, and communicate issues during rollout periods.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with technical teams on resolution efforts.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from implementation into ongoing support operations.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis, Project Coordination, or Business Systems Analysis experience.
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead requirements workshops and stakeholder discovery sessions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working within SDLC environments and partnering with technical delivery teams.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities.
  • Experience supporting UAT, pilot programs, and technology deployments.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead workstreams with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management (IAM), or security-related initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts, ZPA (Zscaler Private Access), or enterprise access management solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise technology rollouts, organizational change management, or user adoption programs.
  • Experience working with distribution centers, retail operations, manufacturing, or large frontline workforces.
  • Knowledge of access provisioning, role-based access models, and user segmentation strategies.
Tools & Technologies
  • Microsoft Visio (Process Mapping and Workflow Documentation)
  • Jira
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Confluence (Preferred)
Success Factors
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Strong focus on user adoption and organizational readiness.
  • Expertise creating foundational BA deliverables without significant direction.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and support multiple technologies and project types.
  • Collaborative approach with both business and technical teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to execution excellence.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is best suited for a senior-level Business Analyst who understands how to drive requirements, coordinate rollout activities, facilitate testing, and lead stakeholder engagement across large organizations. Experience supporting IAM, cybersecurity, or access-related initiatives is highly desirable, but the primary need is a business-focused analyst who can effectively bridge the gap between users, leadership, and technical teams.
