At Print Global Experience and Design (GxD), user experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful product experiences that people love to use and welcome into their home or business. We strive to learn and understand our users' needs, behaviors, and emotions to yield insights that inform product strategy and guide the design of the experiences we create.

We are seeking a User Experience Design Lead for the Home Solutions Print Design team to design & enhance the structure and flow of overall experiences that users have while interacting with a product, service, or system. The candidate will apply user-centered design principles to create seamless user journeys, intuitive interfaces, and meaningful interactions. Typically involved in the early and middle design phases leading design research efforts, defining experience objectives and design principles, and driving design directions.


Responsibilities:

  • Inspires multiple project teams of other designers and internal and outsourced partners responsible for all stages of user experience design and development for a portfolio of complex products and platforms, including experience/information architecture, validation, and specifications.

  • Designs user experience solutions for products and service lines based on established design principles and in accordance with design strategy, practices, and guidelines.

  • Drives and expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners on user experience design and development.

  • Works collaboratively with the Product Marketing, R&D, quality, and support teams to gather insights and derive solutions that improve the overall experience

  • Tests and gathers user experience data in accordance with established research plans and specifications; analyzes, describes, and reports results to design stakeholders.

  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with user experience design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and user experience.

  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall user experience design and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities in the user experience design organization.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, User Interface Design, or equivalent

  • Typically, 9-12 years' experience.

  • Must have end-to-end product design/delivery experience, from ideation to concept creation to implementation.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Broad experience with application of user centered design along with design theories, and concepts to a portfolio of multiple information technology and consumer products and services designs.

  • Experience and proven ability to craft seamless and intuitive experiences across both digital interfaces and physical product interactions to bridge the gap between hardware and software, ensuring a holistic and user-centered approach to product development from concept to launch.

  • Experience in a fast-paced software environment, and an ability to execute against aggressive timelines.

  • Experience designing web and mobile solutions (enterprise experience a plus)

  • Broad understanding and experience in designing and implementing research and data collection plans for interactive and interface design testing and acceptance.

  • Reviewing and evaluating designs for alignment with overall product architecture; recommending and implementing changes to designs and technology to improve product quality and overall interactive and interface design.

  • Ability to effectively communicate interactive and interface design data, design proposals and product specifications and negotiate options at senior management levels.

  • Excellent skills in wireframing and prototyping design tools (Figma, Miro, etc.)

  • Experience in UX Research

The base pay range for this role is $130,350 to $200,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
