ABOUT THE POSITION

The Digital Experience Designer is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve and create intuitive, engaging, and accessible member and employee experiences across the Credit Union's digital channels and platforms. This role leverages user research, experience design, analytics, and rapid prototyping to solve usability challenges, optimize digital interactions, and deliver measurable improvements to the overall digital experience. This position will work closely with Product, Technology, Marketing and business stakeholders to design innovative, user-centered solutions across digital channels including online banking, mobile apps, websites, Salesforce and other internal tools. The Digital Experience Designer will deliver adaptive and creative solutions through best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology. 


NORMAL DAY-TO-DAY WORK

  1. Design end-to-end digital experiences, from discovery and research through wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
  2. Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to translate member needs and business requirements into intuitive user experiences.
  3. Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and implemented with high quality.
  4. Collaborate with departmental teams, leadership and product team subject matter experts to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the end user.
  5. Conduct user research, usability testing and journey mapping to inform design decisions.
  6. Create and maintain design artifacts including personas, user flows, journey maps, wireframes and design specifications.
  7. Conceptualize and communicate UX/UI design ideas to stakeholders of all levels within the organization.
  8. Analyze and monitor digital experiences to identify friction, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  9. Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies in order to analyze and predict user behavior.
  10. Participate in Agile and interactive design processes, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and members.
  11. Work with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure visual consistency and alignment with the Credit Union's brand standards.
  12. Take ownership for actions, decisions, and results; openly accept feedback and demonstrate both the willingness and ability to improve.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be qualified for this position.

  1. 4 - 6 years of design experience in a digital environment or related design experience.
  2. Excellent design skills with a solid grasp of experience design best practices and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  3. Experience with user interface design patterns and standard User-centered design methodologies across multiple platforms.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
  5. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  6. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer).
  7. Travel required on occasion.


Here are a few qualities we'd LIKE for you to have to make you more suited for this position.

  1. Experience with digital experiences for financial institutions, with a focus on online banking, mobile banking, CRM, or account opening platforms.
  2. Experience with platforms such as Alkami Digital Banking, fiVISION Instant Open, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Nautilus ECM, or similar enterprise digital products. 
  3. BA/BS degree preferred.
  4. Knowledge of common visual design tools such as Figma, Invision, and others.
