Job description

Senior UX Designer (Enterprise SaaS)

ENFOS | Durham, NC (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

4815 Emperor Blvd, Suite 360, Durham, NC 27703

About ENFOS:

ENFOS is a profitable, 25-year-old enterprise SaaS company serving many of the world’s leading industrial organizations. Our platform helps finance, accounting, operations, and compliance teams manage complex Environmental Obligations through a centralized system of record built for governance, audit readiness, and operational scale. We operate in the Environmental Obligation Management market, where many enterprises still rely on spreadsheets and fragmented workflows to manage ASC 410 and IAS 37 liabilities. ENFOS is the only enterprise subledger accounting platform purpose-built to address these challenges through integrated financial, scientific, and operational workflows. Our platform supports the full Environmental Obligation lifecycle, from identification through derecognition, while enabling enterprise-grade financial controls, audit defensibility, and cross-functional collaboration. As we modernize the platform for the next generation of enterprise workflows, we are investing heavily in product innovation, AI-enabled capabilities, user experience modernization, and scalable enterprise architecture.

About the Role:

We are looking for a UX Designer to help modernize the user experience across the ENFOS platform. This role will partner closely with Product and Engineering to simplify highly complex financial, operational, and regulatory workflows into scalable, intuitive enterprise experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking, enterprise application design expertise, and experience designing data-dense workflows within complex business environments. You will play a key role in shaping design systems, interaction standards, and front-end experience modernization efforts across the platform. Your work will directly influence how enterprise users operate, govern risk, and make critical business decisions within mission-critical workflows.

What You’ll Do:

1. Modernize the Enterprise User Experience

The ENFOS platform manages highly complex environmental and financial obligations across global enterprises. Your role is to help modernize how users interact with dense accounting, scientific, and operational data while improving usability across mission-critical workflows.

• Design intuitive workflows and interaction models for complex regulatory and governance processes

• Translate accounting, operational, and scientific requirements into scalable user experiences

• Simplify reporting workflows, dashboards, and large-scale data interactions

• Improve usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and consistency across the platform

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to validate and improve workflows

• Optimize data-heavy interfaces for clarity, speed, and efficiency

• Refine workflows using user feedback, testing, and usage insights

2. Establish UX Standards and Design Systems

Help evolve scalable UX standards and reusable UI patterns that support long-term platform modernization.

• Contribute to enterprise design systems and reusable component standards

• Define interaction patterns and UX conventions across the application

• Maintain UX documentation and workflow guidelines

• Partner closely with Engineering to ensure implementation quality and consistency

• Advocate for user-centered design throughout the product lifecycle

3. Collaborate Across Product and Engineering

Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to improve workflow design, usability, and platform experience quality.

• Partner with Product Management on workflow design and usability priorities

• Collaborate with Engineering on front-end behaviors and interaction standards

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and workflow analysis

• Identify workflow inefficiencies and opportunities to improve adoption and operational efficiency

• Contribute to product discovery, refinement, and workflow optimization

Expectations:

You will be evaluated on:

• The usability, scalability, and clarity of workflows delivered across the platform

• Your ability to simplify complex financial and operational processes

• Improvements to UX consistency, interaction quality, and design standards

• Effective collaboration with Product and Engineering teams

• Your ability to independently own UX initiatives from discovery through delivery

• Contributions to platform modernization and front-end experience quality

• The quality of research, testing, and feedback integration into product decisions

What You’ll Need:

Required

• 0-4 years of UX/Product Design experience in enterprise SaaS or complex business applications

• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and data-heavy workflow design

• Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, usability, and visual design

• Experience designing complex operational, financial, or workflow-driven applications

• Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility, and responsive UX patterns

• Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

• Ability to simplify complex requirements into intuitive experiences

Preferred

• Experience designing for financial systems, compliance workflows, or regulated enterprise environments

• Familiarity with reporting interfaces, dashboards, and large-scale data visualization

• Experience working with React/front-end engineering teams and component-based architectures

• Experience contributing to enterprise design systems

• Exposure to accounting, audit, governance, or regulatory workflows

• Experience operating in high-complexity B2B SaaS environments

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $110,000 to $130,000
  • Flexible PTO
  • Comprehensive benefits package

Why ENFOS:

We combine the stability of a profitable, established enterprise software company with the opportunity to modernize a highly differentiated platform operating in a growing and increasingly complex regulatory market.
