Job description

We offer a flexible working policy that supports a healthy balance between personal and professional well-being. This role requires in-office presence on Tuesdays & Thursdays to collaborate, connect, and learn from peers - while also maintaining the flexibility for meaningful work-life balance.
Being a Manager of UX Research at iManage Means...
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager of UX Research to lead our research practice and elevate the voice of the user across our enterprise platform. This role is ideal for a seasoned research leader who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, product innovation, and user-centered design.
You will be responsible for building and scaling a high-impact UX research function that informs product direction, drives measurable business outcomes, and champions the needs of legal professionals and knowledge workers. You'll work closely with executive leadership, product management, engineering, and design to ensure research is a strategic asset in decision-making.
iM Responsible For...
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Advocate for UX research at the executive level, influencing product and business strategy through compelling insights.
    • Align research initiatives with business goals, product roadmaps, and customer success metrics.
    • Define and evangelize a vision for research maturity across the organization.
  • Research Operations & Execution
    • Design and execute mixed-method research (qualitative and quantitative) to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
    • Establish scalable research processes, tools, and templates to support a growing team and cross-functional partners.
    • Leverage the research repository and insight-sharing cadence that connects research to business outcomes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Facilitate workshops and storytelling sessions to socialize insights and drive alignment.
    • Partner with product, design, engineering, and marketing to identify research opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX researchers, while also being hands-on with high-impact studies.
  • Measurement & Impact
    • Track and communicate the impact of research on product decisions, customer satisfaction, and business KPIs.
    • Develop frameworks to measure the ROI of UX research and its influence on product success.

iM Qualified Because I Have...
  • 10+ years of experience in UX research, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success advocating for research within executive and engineering teams.
  • Deep experience with both qualitative (e.g., interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, analytics) methods.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software and/or legal tech environments.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building research functions from the ground up or scaling existing teams.
  • Familiarity with legal workflows, compliance, or document management systems is a plus.

Don't meet every qualification listed above? Studies show that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet all qualifications. At iManage, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment, and encourage everyone to show up as their full authentic selves. We welcome those that come with a growth mindset and a hunger for learning; so, if you are excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification we encourage you to apply anyways!

  • Have flexible work hours that allow me to balance my 'me time' with my work commitments.
  • Collaborate in a modern open plan workspace, with a gaming area, free snacks, drinks and regular social events.
  • Focus on impactful work, solving complex, real challenges utilizing the latest technologies and protocols.

  • Granting enhanced leave for expecting parents; 20 weeks 100% paid for primary leave, and 10 weeks 100% paid for secondary leave.
  • Providing me with a flexible time off policy to take the time off that I need. Be it for vacation, volunteering, celebrating holidays, spending time with family, or simply taking time to recharge and reset.
