About You

  • You must have a Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Design, with supporting portfolio
  • Experience in mentoring and managing Design resources, and developing practice
  • UX fundamentals: research, wireframes, mockups, prototyping, usability testing
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Invision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Experience in usage of design systems to drive coherent design practices

About the Team & Business Line

Launched in 2024, Citco's Experience Design group was created to bring enterpriselevel impact through worldclass design practice. The team partners across the organization to deliver strategic value in customer experience, digital transformation, process and organizational design, and product development. Our mission is to embed design as a core driver of business outcomes.

The UX/UI Design Manager will join a Global Design group that contributes to a range of product and strategic initiatives through participation in every aspect of the design process, from discovery and ideation, to prototyping, testing, iterating and product launch. Responsibilities include regional line management, and contributions to running significant engagements.

The position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other Citco locations. This position reports will report to the Design Director, interact with business stakeholders, and various engineering groups.

Your Role

  • Lead and manage a Design squad/pod to achieve business objectives within a specific domain/program journey, driving and orchestrating the design activities as well as ensuring design work is delivered on time with high quality that complies with the new Design System
  • Lead the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring that designs align with product goals
  • Establishing regular check-ins to ensure progress towards business objectives, and providing coaching, guidance, and mentoring to drive excellence in performance and behavior
  • Push AI integration in Design by actively driving exploration of AI tools with your team to boost design efficiency. Support the team in integrating AI to automate tasks, enhance workflows, and improve the overall design process.
  • Support the growth and development of the team, including building designer capability through feedback and coaching, and contribute to the recruitment and retention of high-performing talent
  • Collaborate with Product, IT, business, and cross-functional team members to solve user needs
