Job Description Scenic Supervisor Location: Near Uxbridge Salary: 35,000 - 42,000 Are you an experienced Scenic Supervisor looking to take on a new challenge within a leading AV company. We are seeking a skilled individual to manage and lead the scenic workshop team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in scenic design, construction, and workshop supervision who is looking to play a key role in delivering world-class events and productions.

Position Overview: As the Scenic Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing scenic projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Working closely with Technical Event Managers (T.E.Ms) and Project Managers (P.Ms), you will bring creative visions to life while managing day-to-day operations within the scenic workshop. You will lead a team, providing guidance and ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to the client's specifications

This role will suit someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for scenic design and production. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development: Supervise daily operations within the scenic department, ensuring smooth workflows and high-quality output. Foster collaboration between departments and promote a culture of high performance and accountability.

Provide training, development, and guidance to team members, ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Ensure all prepared jobs are ready for dispatch on schedule, meeting customer expectations. Scenic Delivery: Design and create scenic items based on client specifications, ensuring timely delivery of all projects.

Monitor inventory levels and manage stock efficiently to meet demand. Oversee quality control and repair standards, ensuring all scenic items are maintained to the highest standards. Provide quotes for jobs/events and ensure all paperwork, including purchase orders and invoices, are processed correctly.

Customer Service: Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service levels and meet project requirements. Act as the main point of contact for T.E.Ms and P.Ms, ensuring that all scenic details and specifications are sourced and fulfilled. Attend meetings and site visits when required to understand client needs and manage expectations

Requirements: Strong knowledge of scenic construction, with good spatial awareness. Experience using drawing programmes and planning tools (Vectorworks/CAD) is advantageous. Previous supervisory or management experience in a similar role is essential.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Organised and detail-oriented, with strong leadership abilities.
