  • Responsibilities
    • Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards.
    • Service and repair a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
    • Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to identify mechanical concerns.
    • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and HVAC systems.
    • Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed of additional maintenance or repair needs.
    • Accurately estimate the time and labor required for additional repairs.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
    • Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies.

    Requirements
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
    • Virginia State Inspector License preferred (or ability to obtain one).
    • Strong knowledge of automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostic procedures.
    • Experience working on multiple vehicle makes and models preferred.
    • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, repair procedures, and manufacturer updates.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Computer literate with experience using dealership management and diagnostic software.
    • Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic and testing equipment.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
