Position Overview

The Keck Medical Center of USC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide high-quality social work services to patients and their families at our remote detox facility. This full-time position is ideal for an experienced LCSW who is looking to make a significant impact in the realm of social services within a medical and detox setting, supporting individuals through critical transitions in their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to identify individual and family needs, utilizing your expertise in human behavior and ethical standards to guide treatment.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, offering supportive counseling and facilitating discussions around critical decisions such as hospice care and advanced directives.
  • Manage a dynamic clinical caseload by prioritizing referrals, high-risk admissions, and ongoing care, collaborating closely with case managers on discharge planning.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards throughout all assessments and interventions, ensuring compliance with all social work best practices and organizational policies.
  • Document all services provided in compliance with healthcare policy, maintaining accurate and timely records on patient progress and care plans.
  • Offer in-service training to other staff members regarding psychosocial issues impacting patient care, contributing to a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives that aim to enhance patient care processes and outcomes, using evidence-based practices to measure results.
