Turn Research Into Real-World Impact.

At Trexquant, we believe exceptional research belongs in the real world.

We're a systematic hedge fund that applies cutting-edge machine learning, statistics, and large-scale data analysis to global financial markets. Every day, our researchers tackle complex, open-ended problems using massive datasets, novel algorithms, and scientific experimentation - with the opportunity to see their ideas deployed in live markets.

Whether your background is in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, economics, statistics, or another STEM discipline, you'll find an environment where intellectual curiosity, rigorous research, and innovation are at the center of everything we do.

No prior finance experience is required- we're looking for exceptional researchers and problem solvers.

Responsibilities:

As a Quantitative Researcher, you'll help develop the next generation of machine learning models that identify predictive patterns in global financial markets.

Your work may include:

  • Designing and implementing state-of-the-art machine learning models for large-scale prediction problems
  • Working with massive structured and alternative datasets to uncover meaningful signals
  • Developing novel statistical methods and predictive features

Discover predictive signals by developing new features, exploring diverse datasets, and building machine learning models that forecast market behavior.

Data Science

Identify, acquire, engineer, and analyze large and unconventional datasets while partnering closely with researchers to unlock new predictive insights.

Strategy Research

Develop systematic trading strategies using modern statistical and machine learning techniques, validating ideas against real market data through rigorous experimentation.

Throughout the interview process, we'll learn about your research interests, technical strengths, and career goals to determine the team that's the best fit for you.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or another STEM discipline
  • Strong interest in machine learning, statistics, or artificial intelligence
