Trailer/Railcar Cleaner
Posting Start Date: 8/3/26
Job Location: United States Sugar Savannah
SUMMARY
  • This position is responsible for ensuring all incoming bulk EFG and liquid shipping containers meet or exceed US Sugar Savannah Refinery quality and safety standards before loading by inspecting, steaming and washing containers per company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Hourly Rate: $19.22 -$22.29

FUNCTIONS
  • Knows and observes Plant Safety work procedures and rules, Environmental Practices and GMP guidelines.
  • Inspects, cleans and washes bulk granulated rail cars and trucks according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Inspects, washes and steams clean tanker trailers in preparation for bulk loading according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Verifies return seal is intact and seal wash trailers according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensures that cleaning chemicals are properly maintained, stored and handled.
  • Coordinates efforts with planning and trackmobile personnel.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness/Five S of the area assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The associate frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
