Position Overview
First Responder Protective Services is hiring full-time Logistics Cargo Tracking & Dispatch Coordinators to support nationwide high-value cargo escort operations. In this fast-paced role, you'll monitor shipments from pickup through delivery, coordinate field personnel, communicate with clients, and maintain accurate operational updates. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in freight dispatch, transportation, fleet operations, track and trace, public safety communications, or other operations coordination environments. .
This is not a truck driving position, cybersecurity role, armed security officer assignment, or warehouse position. This is an office-based logistics operations and dispatch role supporting nationwide cargo escort operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Track high value cargo movements from departure through delivery using real-time GPS systems.
  • Monitor live camera feeds and other available security technology associated with active operations.
  • Conduct and document required check-ins with field escort personnel.
  • Communicate route progress, estimated arrival times, delays, stops, and delivery confirmations to clients.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client phone calls, emails, and text messages.
  • Assign qualified field personnel to escort deployments based on availability, location, client requirements, and operational needs.
  • Confirm that assigned personnel understand pickup information, delivery information, reporting requirements, and client instructions.
  • Manage deployment schedules while helping control unnecessary overtime and travel expenses.
  • Arrange airfare, rental vehicles, hotels, and other necessary travel.
  • Track changes to flights, schedules, routes, pickup times, and delivery appointments.
  • Review GPS activity and field reports for route deviations, unexpected stops, missed check-ins, or conflicting information.
  • Maintain complete and accurate shipment monitoring logs.
  • Escalate communication failures, tracking interruptions, delays, incidents, and possible security concerns.
  • Support multiple active cargo movements while maintaining accurate records for each operation.
  • Handle confidential client, cargo, route, personnel, and shipment information with discretion.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify missing or conflicting information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain organized while managing multiple active operations simultaneously.
  • Proficiency using multiple computer systems, browser tabs, email, GPS/tracking platforms, and messaging applications.
  • Ability to prioritize urgent situations while maintaining routine monitoring responsibilities.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work a full-time assigned schedule.
  • Ability to handle confidential cargo, client, route, and personnel information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in freight dispatch, track and trace, logistics, transportation, fleet monitoring, roadside assistance, emergency communications, public safety dispatch, or field service dispatch.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operations, dispatch, transportation, or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, shipment monitoring platforms, or dispatch software.

Schedule and Work Environment

Some shifts may involve multiple active cargo movements, urgent client requests, travel changes, or operational issues. Other periods may be quieter and require consistent monitoring, accurate documentation, and sustained attention.
