At The Clydesdale, hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through our doors.

Located in Ballpark Village and created by James Beard Award-winning Chef Kevin Nashan, The Clydesdale is redefining the American tavern experience through exceptional food, handcrafted cocktails, and genuine hospitality.

We're looking for friendly, organized, and professional Hosts who enjoy making people feel welcome while keeping a busy restaurant running smoothly. As the first and last person our guests interact with, you'll set the tone for every dining experience.

What You'll Do
  • Greet every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
  • Manage reservations and walk-in seating using our reservation system.
  • Maintain an accurate waitlist while communicating realistic wait times.
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
  • Coordinate table rotations with servers to ensure efficient service.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with reservations and questions.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance, lobby, and host stand.
  • Assist with guest requests and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Thank every guest as they leave and invite them to return.
  • Support the team wherever needed during busy service.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay calm and positive during high-volume service.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining excellent guest service.
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and Cardinals game days.

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
