As a Cashier/Pets Associate, you're not only selling items to customers, you're helping pet parents find the best products that suit their pets' lives.
Job Title: Part-Time Retail & Pet Care Associate
Location: 5546 Fenton Rd, Flint, MI 48507
Pay: $14.00/hour (with room for yearly raises & promotions)
Hours: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week; shifts range 4-8 hours; weekends required)
What You'll Do
  • Customer Care: Warmly greet shoppers, answer product questions, assist at checkout, process returns, and encourage rewards program sign-ups.
  • Store Presentation & Stocking: Receive, price, and stock inventory; face shelves; gather carts; and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
  • Pet Care: Maintain in-store animal habitats, feed and water animals, handle pets safely when needed, and monitor animal equipment (fish tanks, filters, lighting).
  • Store Operations: Answer incoming phone calls, perform basic store cleaning (sweeping, mopping, maintaining the dog wash station), and follow store safety and inventory procedures.

What We're Looking For
  • Age & Education: Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Previous retail, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred.
  • Pet Knowledge: Basic understanding of or passion for animal care.
  • Skills: Strong teamwork, multi-tasking abilities, basic computer literacy, and basic math skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs throughout a shift.
  • Reliability: Reliable transportation to commit to scheduled shifts, including required weekend availability.
