Job description

PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Warehouse Clerk for a growing client in the Davie area. This role bridges the gap between office administration and warehouse floor operations. The ideal candidate will handle daily inventory documentation, data entry, inbound/outbound shipping paperwork, and coordinate directly with warehouse teams and freight drivers to ensure smooth daily logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation & Data Entry: Process inbound and outbound shipment documents (Bills of Lading, packing slips, manifest data) using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Shipping & Receiving Operations: Prepare pallet labels, shipping pouches, and export/domestic documentation; coordinate carrier pickups (FedEx, UPS, DHL, or local freight lines).
  • Inventory Control: Perform routine cycle counts, update stock levels, flag discrepancies, and ensure accurate tracking of incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Logistics Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for checking in drivers, logging arrival/departure times, and managing high-volume email updates regarding Proof of Delivery (POD).
  • Floor Assistance: Assist with light physical warehouse tasks as needed, including sorting, order staging, labeling, and operating material handling equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2+ years of administrative, clerical, or shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics setting.
  • Software Skills: Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience with a WMS (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, CargoWise) or carrier software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Manager) is highly preferred.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and comfortably lift up to 40–50 lbs when assisting on the floor.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a big plus in the South Florida market.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Active OSHA Forklift Certification or willingness to become certified on-site.
