Be the First Impression Our Guests Remember

Hudson's Restaurant & Catering is looking for friendly, confident, and energetic Hosts/Hostesses to join our front-of-house team.

Our hosts do much more than show guests to a table. You're the first welcome when someone walks through the door, the person who helps keep the dining room organized during a busy service, and an important part of creating the hospitality our guests remember.

If you're outgoing, organized, comfortable talking with people, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.

About Hudson's

Hudson's Restaurant & Catering is a family-owned and operated restaurant in the heart of Hudson, Ohio, led by brothers JJ and Kevin Altomare, graduates of The Culinary Institute of America.

In addition to our year-round restaurant and catering operation, we create immersive seasonal experiences including Nightmare Before Blitzen's, Blitzen's, and O'Blitzen's. Our pop-ups transform the restaurant with themed food, cocktails, decor, and entertainment and bring an exciting, high-energy atmosphere to downtown Hudson.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome every guest with genuine, friendly hospitality
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and the flow of the dining room
  • Seat guests efficiently while maintaining proper server rotation
  • Communicate wait times accurately and professionally
  • Answer phones and assist guests with reservations and general questions
  • Learn our menus, seasonal experiences, and restaurant offerings
  • Communicate closely with servers, bartenders, managers, and the kitchen
  • Keep the host area, entrance, and menus clean and organized
  • Assist with resetting tables and other front-of-house needs during busy periods
  • Handle guest questions and concerns calmly and professionally
  • Help create a fun, welcoming experience from arrival to departure
What We're Looking For

Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person.

Our strongest hosts are:

  • Friendly and outgoing - you genuinely enjoy interacting with people
  • Confident communicators - you're comfortable speaking with guests in person and over the phone
  • Organized - you can manage reservations, tables, and multiple priorities at once
  • Calm under pressure - a busy Saturday night doesn't throw you off
  • Dependable - your teammates can count on you to be there and ready to work
  • Team-oriented - you're willing to jump in and help wherever needed
  • Professional - you understand that you're representing Hudson's from the moment a guest walks through the door

Weekend availability and reliable transportation are required.

Why Work at Hudson's?

A job that stays interesting. Our year-round restaurant, catering operation, special events, and seasonal pop-ups mean there's always something happening.

A fun, high-energy atmosphere. Halloween and Christmas at Hudson's aren't ordinary restaurant seasons. Our pop-ups create an experience for our guests-and they're a fun environment for our team, too.

Build valuable hospitality experience. Learn how a successful restaurant manages reservations, guest flow, high-volume service, and exceptional hospitality.

Be part of a local, family-owned business. Work directly with a team that has been serving the Hudson community for years and takes pride in both its food and its people.

Perks
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Employee food and drink discounts
  • Paid training
  • Referral bonus program
  • Supportive, team-focused environment
  • Opportunities to continue with Hudson's beyond the seasonal pop-ups
