Job description

Summary / Objective

The Builder Database Update Specialist supports an asset data capture and integration project by collecting, managing, and updating facility asset data within BUILDER and NexGen systems. This role involves on-site inspections, data integration, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure accurate asset condition tracking and successful project implementation.


Duties / Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site asset data capture, including condition assessments and asset tagging across facilities

  • Update and maintain asset data within BUILDER and NexGen systems

  • Support integration of collected data into existing databases

  • Develop and implement robotic process automation (RPA) scripts using UiPath

  • Coordinate building and room access with stakeholders (escort or pre-arranged access)

  • Participate in project planning sessions, status updates, and system configuration meetings

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and approved applications

  • Collaborate with project manager and team members to meet project milestones

  • Follow project schedules, plans, and guidance documentation


Essential Functions
  • Perform detailed facility inspections and accurately capture asset condition data

  • Input, validate, and maintain large volumes of data in asset management systems

  • Work independently in field environments for extended periods

  • Utilize automation tools to improve data processing efficiency

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to coordinate access and resolve issues

  • Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the project lifecycle


Physical Demands
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout facilities for extended periods

  • Ability to access various areas of buildings, including stairs and tight spaces

  • Capability to carry basic inspection equipment (e.g., tablet, laptop, tools)

  • Visual acuity to inspect and assess asset conditions accurately


Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
  • Temporary/project-based position

  • Approximately 10-week duration for data collection phase

  • Primarily on-site work at project facilities

  • Schedule may vary based on site access and operational constraints

  • Work may be largely independent with periodic team coordination

 Qualifications
  • Experience with asset data collection, facility inspections, or infrastructure management

  • Familiarity with BUILDER, NexGen, or similar asset management systems preferred

  • Experience with data entry, database management, or system integration

  • Knowledge of robotic process automation tools (UiPath preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Strong communication and coordination skills

  • Ability to obtain required system access and credentials within 30 days of project start
