Job description

Job Description: Our client is seeking a Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to provide overnight emergency care within a busy, well-equipped clinical setting. The role involves managing urgent and complex cases from initial assessment through diagnostics, treatment, surgery and ongoing monitoring, supported by experienced veterinary technicians and clinical colleagues.
The position offers a predictable overnight schedule, typically working between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM, with some flexibility available. This opportunity would suit a veterinarian with previous emergency experience who is confident handling critically unwell patients, communicating clearly with pet owners and making timely clinical decisions during overnight shifts.
Qualifications Needed:
  • DVM, VMD or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification
  • Current Maryland veterinary licence
  • Active DEA registration or ability to obtain and maintain one
  • At least one year of veterinary emergency experience
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, communication and critical-care skills
