We are Frima, a video game development studio based in Quebec City and Montreal for over 20 years, bringing together hundreds of passionate talents united by a single ambition: to create unforgettable games across all platforms.

Job Description

What your weeks are going to look like

  • Daily Scrum meetings;
  • Build a trusted relationship with the partner by acting as the main point of contact within your area of expertise;
  • Contribute to the various stages of design and development of a video game on a mobile platform within a multidisciplinary production team;
  • Maintain smooth communication with other departments (design, art, production) to ensure optimal integration of all project components;
  • Provide your expertise to determine the most appropriate technical approaches to achieve the desired project outcomes;
  • Ensure code quality and adherence to development best practices (code reviews, testing, optimization);
  • Mobilize, mentor, and support your direct team through ongoing coaching and continuous feedback;
  • Collaborate with the Technical Director (Core Team) to ensure alignment with company standards.

In short, a leadership role where you remain hands-on technically, with evolving responsibilities, a stimulating mobile project, and FUN on a daily basis!

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another related field combined with equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in development;
  • Experience as a Lead Programmer or in a similar role;
  • Strong command of the Unreal game engine;
  • Excellent knowledge of C++ and strong optimization skills;
  • Ability to travel abroad when required;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English. English proficiency is required, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners.
