As an unlicensed social worker, your job is to provide supervised service to each client as you help manage their case. Your duties may involve participating in a support session, conducting an assessment of your clients’ needs, and otherwise helping people obtain the services they need. Your responsibilities may also vary depending on the purpose of the position. For example, you may be unlicensed as you work to gain experience and earn the license so your services may be limited, or you may work in a state that does not require licensing and be able to provide a wider variety of social work services.
