The Director of Risk Manager has a broad responsibility to ensure the quality of patient care and protect the facility’s assets from loss. The Director of RM is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The structure and functions of the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Programs are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of the Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.
