Job description

  • Responsible for opening duties of the snack bar, ensuring time standards are kept.
  • Enthusiastically greets guests, assists them in answering questions.
  • Must be aware and able to effectively communicate product standards and the clubs calendar of events.
  • Quickly, efficiently and accurately ring in all orders into the POS System
  • Logs member preferences into the POS system.
  • Print end-of-day reports
  • Completes opening, during shift and closing side work
  • Inspect snack bar for neatness and cleanliness.
  • Assists in re-stocking and replenishing product inventory and supplies.
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the Dining Manager for repairs.
  • Receives and resolves complaints concerning beverages and / or service when possible; reports all unsolved problems or complaints to the Dining Manager immediately.
  • Attend pre-meal and all Staff meetings.
  • Follows all established North Carolina State University Club rules, regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dining room Manager
  • Makes sure that the customer leaves satisfied; settles any disputes while maintaining good customer relations.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and healthy environment for all the members, guests and staff, ensuring all safety rules are followed
  • Must be available for work holidays and weekends when necessary.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and staff.
  • Adhere to the dress code and policies of the North Carolina State University Club
  • Control costs by properly using and maintaining equipment and supplies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School diploma

EXPERIENCE:
Combination of education and previous experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. TIP (Training for Intervention Procedures) certified.
Direct experience in dining service; knowledge of fast causal dining, customer service.

EQUIPMENT USED:
All equipment typically used in a private club dining setting.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Able to work with little supervision. Long periods of standing, bending, crouching, reaching. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds. Work in non-temperature controlled environments. Must be able to work around time requirements required at a private club environment.
