Description

Position Summary

Universal Banker I will serve as the face of the Bank at our retail branches. Universal Banker I will maintain long-standing customer relationships and effectively generate new relationships within our community markets. In addition to handling day-to-day deposits and withdrawals, Universal Banker I will be responsible for opening new deposit account and establishing IRAs, as needed. In general, Universal Banker I will assist in leading the branch CSR team by taking on transactions that require elevation and by using their experience as a developmental tool. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Open and maintain deposit accounts and IRAs
  • Process customer financial transactions
  • Address customer inquiries regarding all deposit products and account information
  • Maintain knowledge of new account policies and procedures
  • Verify cash shipments and accurately balance the vault
  • Maintain and accurately balance cash drawer
  • Promote and cross-sell Bank products and services
  • Achieve and maintain 80% of individual sales goal
  • Assist CSR I and CSR II with customer interactions and make decisions, as needed
  • Build and maintain a customer portfolio through the Sales Management CRM system
  • Maintain branch audit logs
  • Balance branch via TellerInsight
  • Balance and troubleshoot ATM
  • Participate in community involvement initiatives
  • Other administrative duties, as directed

Competencies & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years Universal Banker experience, including new accounts and IRAs
  • Acute detail orientation with demonstrated record of accuracy
  • Previous cash handling 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks quickly and appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer service orientation 
  • Ability to proactively solicit new business
  • Ability to work at multiple branches, as needed and assigned 
  • Strong working knowledge and ability with Microsoft Office and web-based programs
