Family Unity Counseling is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote role based in Oakland, California. • Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to accurately identify their social, emotional, and psychological needs, ensuring a tailored approach to their unique situations.
• Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling to clients facing an array of challenges, leveraging therapeutic techniques to promote healing and personal development.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate personalized service plans aligned with patients' goals and objectives, ensuring they remain committed to their recovery and well-being.
• Actively advocate for clients’ rights, helping them gain access to essential resources and services while addressing broader issues of social justice in our community.
• Contribute to program development by engaging in evaluation efforts and grant reporting, ensuring we continually meet the needs of the community effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations, to enhance service delivery and promote holistic care.
• Participate in regular team meetings, ongoing professional training, and community outreach initiatives, fostering a collaborative and informed workplace.

The LCSW will serve a diverse client population in a detox center setting, working primarily with individuals struggling with addiction and related mental health challenges. You will play a critical role in their recovery journey, empowering them through counseling and support systems tailored to their specific needs.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required for this position.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a genuine sense of empathy, are essential.
• Sound organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and maintain accurate documentation.

• Experience working within a nonprofit organization or a community health setting is highly preferred, as it equips the candidate with a deeper understanding of social issues and advocacy.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles, community resources, and social justice activism is a significant advantage.
• Previous experience in program development or grant writing is a plus, contributing to broader organizational growth and sustainability efforts.
