Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Information Systems Senior Manager, the Information Systems Clinical & Business Applications Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Unity Health Care's portfolio of clinical, revenue cycle, and business applications. This position oversees the optimization, security, and performance of Epic and other enterprise applications while leading a team of analysts and specialists. The manager partners with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to ensure technology solutions support exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of application analysts, senior analysts, and application specialists across clinical and business functions.
  • Provide coaching, performance evaluations, mentoring, and professional development for team members.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of clinical and business applications, including Epic modules, third-party applications, and operational systems.
  • Lead application implementations, system integrations, workflow redesigns, upgrades, and new site onboarding projects.
  • Develop and execute application roadmaps that support organizational growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clinical, revenue cycle, finance, operations, and executive leadership to prioritize system enhancements and technology initiatives.
  • Oversee Epic optimization efforts, quarterly upgrades, regression testing, and change management processes.
  • Ensure timely resolution of application incidents, service requests, and enhancement tickets.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements (SLAs), contracts, and issue escalations.
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Information Security teams to maintain HIPAA compliance, access controls, and audit readiness.
  • Present project updates, application strategies, and system recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Identify operational risks and communicate recommendations to the Information Systems Senior Manager and executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting clinical or business applications within a healthcare environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a healthcare organization.
  • Epic certification in the applicable module(s), or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Experience leading application implementations, system upgrades, or technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, electronic health records (EHR), revenue cycle, and healthcare operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across clinical and administrative departments.
