Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Verify quantities shipped or received to packing lists and purchase orders.

  • Deliver and receive incoming packages to specified locations.

  • Call trucking companies to schedule pickups.

  • Prepare and ship outgoing United Parcel Service (UPS) packages for shipment.

  • Maintain and generate Daily Shipping/Receiving Log on computer.

  • Package finished product for shipment.

  • Handle return shipments to suppliers.

  • Dispose of hazardous waste and maintain related documentation.

  • Load raw material or finished product on skid or hand truck.

  • Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.

  • Order material needed in Shipping Department.

  • Verify quantities of materials shipped to and from Plants.

  • Perform physical inventories and labeling.

  • May serve as substitute Truck Driver if licensed.

  • Maintain hand trucks and forklifts if licensed.

  • Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard and strapping and places in proper containers or in designated areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Class A CDL required

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. A High School diploma (or equivalent) is required; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

  • Must possess knowledge of a forklift, pallet jack, shrink wrap bundler, boxes, tape and cardboard packaging material.

  • Must possess good communication, time management and organizational skills. Must possess competent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.

  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Ability to stoop, climb ladders, or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time. Requires long periods of standing; intermittent stooping and bending.

  • The position schedule will be 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., either Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday. The role includes 8 hours of Premium Pay, with employees receiving 4 additional hours of pay for every 36 hours worked.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $37,000 - $80,000 USD.
