The Thomas Jefferson Foundation was incorporated in 1923 to preserve Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Today, the Foundation seeks to bring history forward into national and global dialogues by engaging audiences with Jefferson's world and ideas, and sharing the history of everyone, enslaved and free, who lived and labored at Monticello. Monticello is recognized as a Historic Landmark, a United Nations World Heritage Site and a Site of Conscience. As a private, nonprofit organization, the Foundation's regular operating budget does not receive ongoing government support to fund its twofold mission of preservation and education. SEASONAL FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE (DAY SHIFT)
Job Purpose: The seasonal fulfillment associate performs the duties of a regular fulfillment associate processing web and catalog orders in our distribution center.
Compensation
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Essential Functions
  • Picks and/or packs all variety of merchandise.
  • Material Handling Duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Must possess basic reading, math and computer/data entry skills.
  • Must be familiar with UPS, FedEx, and USPS manifests.
  • Knowledge of proper box sizes, packing materials, and appropriate shipping methods.

Physical Demands and Work Considerations
  • Employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of times.
  • Employee must be able to lift and carry items up to 24 lbs. on a frequent basis, and occasionally lift and carry items up to 74 lbs.
  • This position is based in our distribution center warehouse and works Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM, with overtime as needed.
  • This seasonal position will start July 6, 2026 and will end on December 26, 2026.

Education
  • High-school diploma or GED preferred.
