Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Kitchen Appliances Technician to support commercial kitchen equipment across approximately 20 kitchens within Coppell ISD. This role is responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial kitchen appliances, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient foodservice operations for students and staff. This position is ideal for a technician with hands-on experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment who enjoys troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and working in a facilities-based environment rather than a customer service route role.

Work Location: Coppell, TX (multiple school kitchens)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly

Important Employment Requirement

This position supports a public school district.
All candidates must be able to successfully pass a fingerprint-based background check as required for employment within the school system.

Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with kitchen appliances such as ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and other related equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing to extend appliance lifespan.
  • Install new appliances according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Replace defective parts and calibrate systems for proper functionality.
  • Maintain accurate service records and provide clear reports on repairs and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate technical information in a clear, professional manner.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in appliance repair preferred.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing kitchen appliances.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment manufacturers commonly used in K-12 foodservice environments is strongly preferred. Experience with any of the following is a plus:

    • Commercial refrigeration systems

    • Commercial ovens and ranges

    • Warewashing systems

    • Food warming and holding equipment
