Job description

POSITION:    Paraprofessional Gen Ed-  1.0 FTE

LOCATION:    TCU Le Center  - Tri-City United Schools serves TCU Lonsdale K-6, TCU Le Center K-8, and TCU Montgomery K-8

STARTING DATE:    2026-2027 School Year

SALARY:    Per the Tri-City United ISD 2905 Paraprofessional Agreement

    Fluent in Spanish or Teacher's license; $1.00/hr additional

REPORTS TO:    Building Principal

POSITION DETAILS:     

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative school district with a forward-thinking vision. The Tri-City United community is committed to enhancing educational opportunities through projects like classroom expansions, Early Learning programs, and improvements in health, safety, and security. TCU has state-of-the-art facilities, including engineering/robotics (STEAM) labs, science labs, an Ag/Tech Shop, and a Performing Arts Center to support student learning.

Paraprofessionals work with students receiving educational services and/or instruction under the direction of the licensed staff and perform duties to support the program in general and to meet student's academic and social needs. 

TCU staff work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, focusing on preparing students for college, careers, and life. This position will play a crucial role in advancing our mission: The TCU community is dedicated to ensuring ALL MEANS ALL.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS:    

Candidates should possess a dedication to youth and have a strong belief that every student can succeed.  Requires H.S. Diploma. Prefer 2 years of post-secondary training, AA degree in child development or the ability to pass the Para Pro test.  Training for the specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district.
