Job description

What to Expect:

As the United Ground Express Learning and Development team grows with the company's operation there is a need for on-site training support for our operation at Nashville TN Airport (BNA). This position will add additional training bandwidth outside of core classroom instruction, and the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with Training Management and the Station Leadership teams to assist and support training efforts.

How you will make an impact:

Responsible for delivery of on-site initial skills training, advanced skills training and recurrent training for all employees assigned to the Nashville operation.

  • Responsible for ensuring training compliance and coordinating with operational leadership to ensure assigned staff have required training needed to properly support the operation.
  • Provides coaching and training to front line ramp agents assigned to support United Airlines or other airlines contracts.
  • Conducts routine operational audits to validate employee compliance to standard operating procedures. Responsible for documentation, re-training and partnering with local leadership to administer corrective action as necessary.
  • Responsible for managing class schedules as needed, as well as the management and administrative tasks surrounding instruction assignments primarily for United Airlines, and other contracted airlines as needed. This includes items such as correspondence with students and peers, session close outs, logistics, expense reporting, on-the-job training session training compliance, and other duties as assigned, such as station transition support and special projects.
  • Addressing ad-hoc training needs in stations generated by factors such as fleet type changes, new/additional GSE, and lack of local capability.

What will you bring:

Knowledge/Skills

Required:

  • 2 years of experience working in airport operations.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Ability to self- manage and complete tasks as assigned without direct supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • This position requires up to 50% travel.

Preferred:

  • Thorough familiarity with AS policies and procedures.
  • Current employee of United Ground Express.
  • Current RGOM Level 1, Local Ramp Instructor, Jetbridge Qualified Instructor, or other station-level trainer experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and interest in transmitting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with United Airlines learning management system.
