What is a unit clerk assistant?

Unit Clerk Assistants are healthcare support professionals who assist unit clerks and nursing staff with administrative and clerical tasks in hospitals, clinics, or other medical facilities. Their responsibilities often include answering phones, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and relaying information between departments. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a healthcare unit by handling paperwork and communication efficiently, allowing medical staff to focus more on patient care.
